Hunter was born in the western canyon lands and raised on the eastern coastal sands; he has lived in Utah, Colorado, California, Georgia and Florida. His love for the created natural world propels his desire to deeply understand the world around him so he can utilize this knowledge in his works.
He chooses to live an active and environmentally conscious lifestyle, spending his time under the sun and traveling globally. The art he creates is often composed of documented and collected materials native to a particular region.
Focusing on bodily and mental health has helped him conquer many physical and spiritual battles, so he wishes to share his art as a means to help others see the beauty of life and live prosperously.
As a visual art graduate from the University of Florida, he concentrates on creating graphic designs, conceptual photography, video art, ceramics, sculpture installations, earth art and food art. His art aesthetic brings attention to heavenly and earthly bodies, winged creatures, mental health, faith, freedom, love and spirituality. His search for peace can be understood through these visual expressions as he tries to understand the dichotomy between the tangible physical realm and the intangible spiritual realm.
